Why this prasad, and why this way
Sankhudi is the cooked offering, and in Puri it is shared without hierarchy — the one place in India where that has always been literally true. The wet items cannot travel, so we send the full dry set: four sweets, each made in the temple kitchen, each part of the same day's offering. Eat it with your hands, standing up, the way it is eaten there.
