The Offering
Why this prasad, and why this way
On Thursdays the deity is bathed before dawn, and what flows from that bath is the gentlest prasad the hill gives. It is not sweet in the way a laddu is sweet — it tastes of restraint. We collect it in a sealed glass jar, still cool, and pack it with the sandal paste and a thread from the vastram seva.
